Amy came over for lunch.
Seeing her is always such a treat!
And Nick was able to come home for the show. It looked like he might not be able to, so
that was a pleasant surprise, too!
We tried off and on all day to check into our flight, to
little avail. We did learn that there
won’t be a ticket agent at the airport until 4:00 a.m. and our flight leaves at
6:15. Sure hope that’s enough time,
although I don’t suppose there will be many people in the security line at that
hour!
Ben, drove Ginger, Nick and I downtown for the most amazing
Cirque! I highly recommend it! To prove the point, I was so enraptured that
I didn’t even take photos because I didn’t want to dilute the experience!
Before the show Ginger and I each tried a new beer! Hers was “Fu Manbrew” and I had “Blind Pirate”.

| Could you guess that the show is set in Mexico? |
We’re planning to leave the house at 3:00 tomorrow morning,
so this is all there is folks! Sweet
dreams!

Try again to put a hold on your mail online. We normally do that when we travel. The hurricane may have upset things, but Tampa seems to be recovering.
ReplyDeleteThe website for the Odessa post office has a list of things you can do on line and another for things that have to happen on-site. Holding mail is in the on-site column. And as of yesterday, my post office was still closed due to the power outage. My last text from TECO said the cause was still unknown!! It will work out one way or another! When the box overflows, they'll have to hold the rest! :)
DeleteSo true! But I'm like Betsy in that I do this online. Your post office needs to get with the times!
DeleteWe'll look for Luzia here. You know how we enjoy the shows. Would you want to see it again?
ReplyDeleteYou'll love it!! I'm not sure if I'd see it again; there are so many wonderful things to see for the first time! :)
DeleteDoesn’t look like it’s coming here. Darn. As for the post office, we have yellow cards we fill out & place in our mailbox when we go on vacation - stop mail from one date to the restart date. Can you use one of those next time?
DeleteI could have done that if the post office had been open! But then I wouldn't have needed to put it in my box! The hurricane played havoc with my neighborhood. The bottom line is that, if my home-made card didn't do the trick, then my mail soon overflowed the box at the gate, and they will have had to hold it anyway! It will all work out. I've had them hold my mail for years and never had a problem.
